Berit Engen WEFT and D'RASH – A Thousand Jewish Tapestries

THE MYSTICAL TRADITION (V)
– Light, as It Plays inside Dew, Mist, and Rain

I have woven water as in gentle rain and dew and mist upon the earth. Water, no one is ‘against’ water. But rain? Heaven forbid it should rain one day. We all need it for survival, but few want it. Dew makes bare feet in the grass wet in the morning, and mist is a veil hindering us from seeing clearly. To me, it is about the awe-inspiring, mysterious interplay between water and light.
