– Sweet Like Honey: Scrutinizing Words Rabbi Ben Bag Bag said: “Hafokh bah v’hafokh bah d’kulei bah.” “Turn it over and over, for everything is in it.” The verse (Pirkei Avot 5:22) is a guide on how to study the Tradition. Carefully studying words and verses from different perspectives makes the readers engage in a process of arriving to study with an open mind, curiously considering many and at times opposing angles and commentaries with respectful skepticism and, hopefully, leaving wiser both in knowledge and emotions.

 – Turning the Text, Bending the Reality

The enormous influence that a few individuals have had in the humanities and sciences is astonishing. Some have developed history in good directions, and we cannot imagine our understanding and knowledge of the world without their contributions. What if they had not lived?

Eventually, we may have come to the same conclusions and discoveries, but some had visions before the rest of us even dared to think of the same ideas. They also dared to act on their convictions.
