THE TORAH (II)
– Stories From Deep Below the Heavens and a Little Above the Earth
As the biblical narratives describe the human struggle and the potential for failure and success in all our relationships, they resonate with us in our struggles a few thousand years later. In Judaism, the domains of God and man are clearly distinct: God cannot be man, man cannot be God. In these tapestries the distinction is indicated by the nonexistent line we call “horizon”.
A tower, a ladder, a pillar of salt: I like how ideas can be expressed through stories with memorable objects.
